Go back to your motorcycle's manual
Use the manual for your specific model and model year. Intervals, fluids and pressure values cannot be safely transferred between different motorcycles just because they share a brand or a similar engine size.
Check with common sense
Before setting off, look for visible damage, leaks and the condition of the tyres. Check that the lights and controls work according to the manufacturer's manual. If something is unclear or behaves unusually, do not try to fix the motorcycle while riding and contact the workshop.
Don't put off service until the last minute
Arrange the inspection date in advance, especially before a longer trip. The workshop is helped by the model, model year, mileage and a factual description of how the problem shows itself. This information makes preparation easier than a general "something is wrong".
Accessories must be compatible
Before buying, check compatibility with the specific model year and version. This applies to luggage, protective parts and other accessories. Always assess fitting and load according to the manufacturer's manual and recommendations.
